Oh wow I remember this xD Trying to sleep with love deprived babies in the room is impossible.

FOUND DOG
I found this little guy running loose in my neighborhood this morning. He didn’t have a collar and he isn’t neutered. He appears to be a young terrier mix, possibly still under a year old. My aunt HATES dogs so I can’t keep him and if he isn’t claimed I will have no choice but to send him to a rescue. ]=
He’s a sweet boy and LOVES to go for walks (I’ve taken him on five today) and I would love for people to signal boost and spread the word. If you live in the Twin Cities and are interested in fostering him for me send me an ask or email me at hannasully@hotmail.com

As a thank you for the donations I recorded this video of Theo. =] He’s breathing so much better now that there’s an air filter in the room. He hasn’t needed medication at all since the filter came in and he’s almost back to his usual self.

I apologize for the mess on my carpet…A little trouble maker knocked over the litter box and the vacuum pooped out halfway through the job.

Save Theo!

As some people already know I’ve been fostering a very special kitten for a while now. Theo came to us completely feral and afraid of humans, and has come a long way from hissing and scratching anyone who tries to touch him.

This is him the night he came to me:

His nose is flushed, his body is stiff, and he was scared half to death.

This is him now:

He sleeps with me every night, runs to greet me, and claims my lap as soon as I sit down. His favorite thing ever is to play fetch with his bright purple mouse.

But Theo is very sick and can’t play for long without gasping for air. He has feline asthma, a severe case that can easily kill him. He has been taking steroids to keep the swelling down, but taking steroids for an extended period of time will destroy the liver and kidneys. He needs lifelong treatment with bronchialdilators, oxygen, and antihistamines, with steroids being used only in emergencies. He’ll need to see the vet monthly for bloodwork to monitor his liver, and x-rays to check for scaring on his lungs. In the case of a sudden, severe asthma attack emergency hospitalization with sedation, oxygen, and inhaled medication will be required. This will cost an estimated $1,000 a month (even more for emergency visits), and without this care he will die.

The rescue can’t afford this, and none of us want to see him suffer or be euthanized after coming so far. I’ve taken it upon myself to provide the care he needs, and to pay for most of his care on my own. I’ve set up a widget for donations here and set the goal for $15,000, enough to get the oxygen and medication, and then have some to put into savings for emergencies and vet visits.

Theo is my baby, and I would be forever thankful to anyone who donates or signal boosts this. Please, please help save him!

Bringing this back. $55 donated so far with 9 days left! Thank you for the donations! It means so much =]

Mitsy and her remaining two kittens are up at the Roseville Petco!

They’ll be there for up to 2 weeks (ahhh my babies ;A;) but the staff and our volunteer Dana will take good care of them. NEXT SATURDAY (the 12th) We’ll have our monthly adoption event at the Coon Rapids Petco.

Tomorrow is the Walk For Animals at the Golden Valley Animal Humane Society!

I’ll be participating, of course! Rain or shine. =] I can’t wait to see all the cute fuzzies! Last year there was even someone with a snake, someone else on horseback, and several people had cats in strollers. I won’t be taking any of my kitties though. They’d probably have heart attacks with all those people and animals.

Anyway, the event goes from 8:30am to 1:30 and there will be tons of stuff going on.  Check out the website for details, and don’t forget to wear your walking shoes!

Another kitten got a home yesterday!

I’m down to just two already!

Also, we got an anonymous donation for $200 that someone left at the Coon Rapids Petco! It’s going to Theo’s brother Eva for his medication (Eva also has Asthma) and will definitely have him feeling better soon.

Gus is getting adopted today!

Yay! He’s going to a home with a very nice lady and her kids. She wanted him so bad she didn’t care how much he cost and actually dragged her kids into the store to meet him. Of course they didn’t want him because he was boring (just black and white) but I know she’ll be a good owner for him. It’s not very often I see someone have an instant bond with an animal by just looking at them and touching them. This lady had that. Her eyes lit up when she saw him and she spent at least 10 minutes with him. It’s awesome to see. =]

I was so caught up about Theo I forgot to mention how the adoption event went!

Two of my kittens had payments put down on them so they’re ready to be adopted once they’re spayed/neutered. I’m excited because I’ll have my bed pee/poop free, but sad because their MY BABIES. ;A;

Save Theo!
